      Jesuit church of St. Peter and Paul in Lviv - one of the biggest religious buildings of the city, the first striking example of Mannerism (early Baroque) in Lviv. Construction began in 1610 a Jesuit monk S. Lyanhius, who made the original author project. Clean style Italian Baroque sustained at the completion of the temple in the 1618-21 biennium Italian architect George. Briand, modeled on the facade of the church Church of the Gesù in Rome. In 1630, construction was completed, the temple was consecrated, but finishing work continued 30 years. Three-nave temple. Dominates the main façade decorated with pilasters, niches with statues and a pronounced cornice. Inside - a magnificent baroque decoration. Paintings by the artist F. and S. Eckstein from Brno. In one of the side altars is highly artistic wooden crucifix by J. Pfister. Next to the church is a three-storey building of the former Jesuit college.
